Reckon ye'd want to hear the story of anyone ye'd be livin with and fightin next to.

M'Mum is Deyanna. In the time b'fore I was born she were a warrior and traveled far an wide from what I've been told .My Da was a practicer of the dark magics named Mourdekain. They met in the ale house here in tha Landin called Helga's, an swapped tales tall, and true oer steins and flagons wit their friends and partners. Mum was a mercenary at tha time and I dunno who da worked for, nor do I want to. annaway, the way Mum told me one evenin when she were low in the ale, she and da were the last ones awake after a bout of heavy imbibin' and decided t'take the party t'Silvergate Inn. Nine months later I come along and Mum bein the one with the motherly instincts decided not t'trow me inta the streets til I were at least old enough t'fend fer m'self.

While I was wee small Mum dragged me with her to helga's where I crawled around the back room, or neath the bar durin the day, and at night she'd tuck me into a basket or drag me off to a rented room at one of the inns. I spose da helped with my upkeep alla time, truth is I don't know. There was allus someone willin t'watch me while she was off t'work for a few days, except durin invasions, usually if I got caught out, I'd just get scooped up with all tha other younguns and hide in the inn under the tables.

As I got a bit older I started hangin about at Moot hall pesterin the clerk for the odd job or two for pocket change, or I'd go and see friends down in shanty town and we'd go to the wharfs, or neath the bridge and fish for eels and such for dinner. I was pretty much on m'own by tha time I could find m'way about tha landin alone, Mum started stayin away longer and longer, and finally she just didna bother comin back a'tall. I haven' seen her in many years now, though occasionally I hear of her. Dunno what ere became of my Da.

I Eventually grew into a strappin lass and ran with a bit of a rough crowd. I decided to try the life of a merc like M'mum since it was really the only one I knew annathin about, barmaidin' really didna suit me, if I had t'put up wit the things Helga does fer five minutes I'd end up killin somethin annaway. So I scraped up a few silvers and dickered with that crook Kilron and got m'self a halfway decent longsword. I had an old set of leathers that mum had left behind, and I found a battered old shield in the center of town. Life was good.

I thought it my job to free the landin of rats for a time, but that proved to be not enough of a challenge very quickly so once I'd been to tha trainer two times I decided in my youth and wisdom that I were ready for wind witches and thunder trolls...

While I was lyin in town square central waitin for healin and a cleric to raise me this kindly old woman wandered in and began t'whisperin in m'ear about some secret powerful buncha folk and told me how and where t'go find em.

Eventually I did go an find em, these dark and secretive folk. They promised wonderful powers in return for a very small thing, really. so I spent a bit of time in their service, skinnin beasts, gatherin trinkets and learnin their ways. Soon I came t'believe that their ways weren't any I could abide for long so I renounced em, and traveled, hunted and lived many years alone, and a lot of times in fear for m'life and m'very soul.

I happened one day 'pon a lady named Cassundera and her man named Brianus,an their friend Shirkon. Twas as I was lookin for a picker for several boxes and they just happened t'be performin this service for all comers, so I took a spot in line and listened as they explained the order of Voln to one a bit younger than m'self. I decided I'd hear more so I let folk go in front of me in line til I was the last there besides them. Welladay ye probably know the story from there, likely many of ye have stories that are much the same. I asked questions and they answered, I was innerduced to other folk in the order an began my way down tha honorable path at yon monastery aidin the great Lord Voln. Though I come to tha path later than most, I trod it with none the less vigor.

Durin' an invasion,in which I was pretty badly injured, an after being seen to by the healers, who had far too many with worse than me t'heal that day. I figgered I was arright and 'd be ready t'fight again on tha morrow, so I found a quiet corner in tha park and bedded down as was m'wont. Tha Lady musta been lookin out fer me because unbeknownst t'me a fever had set inta tha wound afore it could heal proper and if tweren't fer tha charity of a lady name o' Micha Ida been lost that night fer good, I came to a time later ye see perty much outta m'head t'find her tendin me and all I 'member for a time is bein closer t' the cursed undead than tha livin'and just wishin it t'be over wit. When tha fever finally passed, Micha innerduced herself n' lemme know in no uncertin terms that I wasna free t'go back t'sleepin in tha park, Anyroad she adopted me all formal like, and soon enough she an her feller Mersteel wedded and now I have a Mum and Da again.

Came a day Brianus told me of a house that'us bein formed name of Daigneach Onoir and what it were to stand for. That perty much brings me t'where I met the comp'ny I keep now, though I may still be a bit standoffish from alla time I spent alone, I'm tryin t'mend m'ways and standoffish dun mean I'll bite yer head off iffin ye approach me t'say hile, nor let it be said I've no time fer younguns, a friendly word, or just t'pass the time a'day.

by my hand and word
