Grandevr Atlantivs is a descendant of a Faendryl family that opted to migrate west of the Dragonspire instead of following the Faendryl transition to Rhoska-Tor.  His lineage privately maintained their intellectual pursuits while immersing themselves within the society of other races.  After first settling in Wyr'deep forest, they eventually migrated to the northern frontier of the Turamzzyrian empire, away from anti-elven hostilities to the neutral region dominated by a small town named Wehnimer's Landing.
         Ingrained within his lineage's teaching is a hostility towards the convulted magical practices involved in sorcery, as it represents a blemish on the normally pure elemental magic practices.  Unlike the Faendryl that migrated en masse, Grandevr's skin tone remains fair in color, as his lineage was not tarnished by Rhoska-Tor.
         Due to the migratory nature of his lineage, Grandevr tends to be aloof, as being a lone wanderer is what comes naturally to him.  However, the diversity of the cultures and experiences that his lineage has been involved in, Grandevr has been taught to be patient and tolerant of others, as there is always something to be learned by observation.  This exposure of his lineage to many various customs allowed him to be instructed and to develop with skills in many areas, attributed to his lineage's truism of "survival by knowledge and honor" as he maintains the moral principles and traditions of his lineage.
